Martha Bowder

My name is Cassandra Yarbrough and the person that most inspires me is Martha Browder, my Mother. My Mother is the best Mom that anyone could ever ask for. She has always been there for me and supportive of me and my son, and anyone else who needs her. She is likes and loved by everyone she comes in contact with. My Mom is a very patient and compassionate and giving person. She takes time out of her day on every first Saturday of each month, when she and some close friends go and volunteer at three nursing homes. They pray with the residents, sing to them, read to them, give them encouraging words, and also give them gifts during the holidays and special occasions.

She loves helping people and she will give you her last if you need it. My Mom will be cancer-free 5 years in November 2008 and I am so blessed each and every day that I have her here with me, because without her I would not be the woman I am today. My Mom is always giving me faith, hope and most of all her love, and I would not trade her for anything in this world. She is my HERO and I want her to know that I love her and she is the greatest!
